- 10 billion bacteriain every 20 g dose
- 5 active enzymesfor fats, proteins, starch and fibre
- pH 5–8won’t corrode pipes or seals
- 15 dosesroughly 3–5 months of prevention
The sink drains slowly and the unblocker only lasts a week
Grease from the washing-up, cooking oil and food scraps settle on the inside of your pipes and build a crust that narrows the drain month after month.
- Water drains from the sink more and more slowly
- An unpleasant smell coming from the plughole
- Gurgling in the U-bend after you empty the sink
- Chemical unblockers only help for a short while
A chemical unblocker burns a channel through the blockage, but the crust on the pipe walls stays and grows back. On top of that, chemicals kill the bacteria in your septic tank or treatment plant.
Biology instead of harsh chemicals
Pour in a dose
The powder goes down the drain and is rinsed through with warm water.
Bacteria wake up
On contact with water, the Bacillus bacteria activate and colonise the pipe.
Enzymes break it down
Lipase breaks down fats, proteases proteins, amylase starch, cellulase fibre.
Grease clears from the U-bend and the pipe
The bacteria and enzymes break down the layer of grease on the pipe walls, so water flows freely again.

Two modes, one rule: use it in the evening

What this product won’t do
It won’t clear a fully blocked pipe
If water doesn’t drain at all, clear it mechanically first, then use BioMe on the crust that’s left.
It won’t work in 15 minutes
The bacteria need a few hours of contact. You’ll see the first results after 1–3 days.
It won’t dissolve hair
For bathroom drains, use BioMe Bathroom Drain Unblocker, made for hair and soap.
What our customers ask
How quickly will I see a difference?
With minor blockages, water drains faster after 1–3 days. For an old build-up, use the treatment mode (40 g daily for 3 days); the full effect shows after 3–7 days.
Is it safe for septic tanks and treatment plants?
Yes. Bacillus bacteria support the bacterial life in your septic tank or treatment plant instead of killing it, as chemical unblockers do.
I’ve used a chemical unblocker. When can I use BioMe?
After at least 24 hours and a good rinse with warm water. Any chemical residue would kill the bacteria in the product.
Is it safe for PVC and PP pipes?
Yes. The pH is 5–8, so it won’t corrode PVC, PE, PP, copper, steel or cast iron, and it won’t damage seals.
Does it smell?
The powder has a light lemon scent. For 1–2 days after use you may notice a faint fermentation smell: a sign the bacteria are at work.
